Here on my Substack, you’ll find the most unfiltered, tell the whole truth version of my journey—the addiction to achievement, the loss, and starting again… or as I like to call it, jumping to a new timeline.

After making $25M in 6 years, I found myself 6-figures in debt, divorced, and having a mastectomy—all before the age of 40.

This is my first time sharing the details of my journey publicly. I lost my marriage, millions, and my left breast, and most importantly, I lost my sense of purpose and at times, my desire to live on.

Luckily, my sense of humor survived. I lived to laugh about it all, and I’m bringing you a series of stand-up routines in the form of essays. Or at least a girl can dream.

A little background, in case we’re not acquainted yet: In 2020, I was recognized by Forbes as “The Millionaire Maker” after helping women generate millions from my programs, and I was called a “unicorn” by Afrotech after generating $10 million in 4 years as a solo bootstrapped founder. In 2025, I delivered a TEDx Talk titled “Wealth Is An Inside Job: 3 Steps to Creating Wellth.”

I hosted my free live masterclass over 100 times, teaching over 100,000 people how to turn their knowledge into profitable online courses and built an audience of over 100,000 email subscribers, 150,000 Instagram followers, 15,000 YouTube subscribers, and inspired 10,000 customers to purchase my $2,000 program.

Why this, why now

I spent my adulthood checking off the boxes I was bred to check:
Go to a top university (Check).
Marry a good man (Check).
Make a million dollars (Check).

All that time, as I climbed, I suppressed the very thing that was the source of my power: my feelings. My deeply held desire was to stop performing the facade of “success” and be free.

The biggest slap, self-induced of course, to my carefully curated act came in January 2023 when I keynoted on a 8-Figure CEO panel being celebrated for generating over $20M in my online business, and I couldn’t afford a cup of coffee the next day.

My audience was there to see my financial rise, and now I’m ready to tell the truth about what it truly cost. I have the receipts to speak about success and overachieving and the clarity to interrogate it. And I’m willing to say what many people aren’t.

I learned how to make millions before I learned how to make myself happy. I thought wealth lived in my bank account, but I learned that it starts in my body.

I’ll be sharing my Confessions of a Broke Millionaire series as a cautionary tale that I hope sends at least one person into a fury of confessions that free them from any identities and performance they’ve been clinging to.
